Shaver Sports has two locations in Chelsea, Quebec. The new flagship store is located in the heart of Old Chelsea, at the corner of Scott Road and Old Chelsea Road, near the Gatineau Park visitor centre. The other location, a full service ski shop located in the lower level of the main lodge at Camp Fortune, offers unparalleled access to on-hill ski and snowboard service and ski demos. Both locations offer superior customer service and expertise in all "things" racing.

Scott Shaver, the owner and President of Shaver Sports, is a former Canadian National Alpine Ski Team member who raced on the World-Cup circuit for a number of years. And it just so happens that Camp Fortune was his home club.

His family has skied at Camp Forture for over 50 years, starting with his father who brought up the family: Steven, Debbie, Gary and Scott Shaver, every weekend to race competitively through the local Ottawa Ski Club, each of whom moved onwards and upwards to higher levels including: the National Capital Division (NCD), Ontario and Canadian squads. In addition, Scott's wife Tara raced on the NCD ski team while her father David Skinner was the CEO of the Canadian National Alpine Team during the 80's and early 90's. As a result of this racing background, it is no wonder why the people at Shaver Sports have such depth when it comes to understanding the requirements of skiers and racers alike.

Furthermore, Scott has remained active in the sport of downhill racing over the years as either a coach, adult ski racer, mentor to young athletes and as the designer of specialized protective gear for racers and snowboarders - which help athletes compete on the edge.

For example, star athletes like Jacey-Jay Anderson and Marc Fawcett, who both competed in the 1998 & 2002 Winter Olympics for Canada use Rapid Wear shin guards to allow them to aggressively perform in their sport in less pain while having fun.
